When we arrived, on Monday afternoon, a lot of people were sick from the bus ride, either really sick, or just sick of being on the bus. (I’m still feeling jet-lagged). But we recovered pretty quickly when we saw Silver Bay. It was a nice place - everything was perfect, except for the mud pit that half of the class fell into on Tuesday morning! :) In all of these books, they say that mud is really sticky. And that was the truth in the case, though I think it’s usually not. This mud pit, was epic. Once we were good and stuck, Raymond had to pry us out, leaving some shoes in the mud. The shoes had to be ripped out afterwards. Whoa. Good thing no one got hurt.
Not only our teachers helped us. Nature’s Classroom instructors, like Hawk, Snax, Poe (nephew of Jack Black!!!!!), Lego, Two Socks, and CD were there. They led our activities, field groups, and Silver Bay. They even ate with us, sometimes. I thought it was super cool that Poe’s uncle is really the actor Jack Black. They both have awesome jobs.
